MOBILE DISPENSARIES AND THEIR OPERATION
Fauji Foundation’s main thrust remains towards rural areas because of obvious reason that most of the Beneficiaries population belongs to rural areas. It is because of this reason that concept of mobile dispensaries was evolved. The basic purpose / concept of these dispensaries was to provide medical cover to remote areas which are quite away from Dispensaries, Medical Centres and Hospitals. All Hospitals, Medical Centres and Double Dispensaries operate a total of 47 x Mobile Dispensaries. In total, 533 stations all over the country are covered by these Mobile Dispensaries. These Mobile Dispensaries operate 4 days a week upto a maximum of 120 kms in mountains and 175 kms in plains both ways from base Hospital, Medical Centre or Double Dispensary. A huge number of patient take advantage of this service and get treatment from these Mobile Dispensaries. Mobile Dispensaries have contributed a lot in provision of care at door steps of Beneficiaries in rural areas, especially in the prevailing economic crunch and increased transportation charges.
